Bobby the Allotment Robin, is a beautifully illustrated book about a robin and his two "human" friends Gill and Jo who come to their allotment throughout the seasons.

 

Bobby and his partner Scarlet have two chicks and the book tells the story of the building of their nest to lay their eggs and eventually the hatching of their two chicks, Poppy and Cherry.

 

The book covers the seasons in the allotment, from the planting of seeds to the picking of the crops and the other important tasks to be done. The book is timeless and a lovely happy read for a child.
